About Us

AutoPartsPeople is a select group of auto dealers. Since 2000 we have specialized in the online sales of OEM parts and genuine automotive accessories. Our dealers are all located in the Pacific Northwest, but ship throughout the country.

We are a family business, owned and operated by Tim Larson and his oldest daughter, Amanda, with the help of our office mascot, a Newfoundland named Moby.

timmy

Tim has always loved cars. He rebuilt the engines of two family cars before he was old enough to get his own driver’s license. In 1973, he worked a summer job at the Pontiac Motors parts testing lab and by 1976 was a parts manager at an AMC/Jeep dealership.

With over three decades of experience working as a parts manager and dealership computer administrator, Tim has worked with many carlines, including AMC, Datsun, Ford, Honda, Jeep, Nissan, Toyota and Volvo. His favorite car is the 1964 Sunbeam Tiger that he and his wife explored America in.

Tim still enjoys working with cars on his family’s Whidbey Island farm in between helping customers, building parts catalogs and walking Moby.

mandy Amanda Larson is a writer, artist and farmer. She grew up in the parts departments of many dealerships, doing parts inventories and working on cars with her dad.

Amanda has degrees in graphic design, and film and video communications along with over 18 years of hands on experience in web design and construction. Her favorite cars are the classic muscle cars and anything with fins.

While Tim works with our dealers to fill parts and accessory orders, Amanda maintains the AutoPartsPeople group of websites, which are constantly being redesigned for the best possible automotive parts and accessories shopping experience.

Our office mascot, Moby, also assists Tim with car repairs and with the daily running of AutoPartsPeople. He provides office entertainment and makes sure his people get regular walks.

Moby’s favorite car is Big Blue, the Larson family’s 1986 Ford Econoline conversion van, because it gives him plenty of room to stretch out. At nearly 160 lbs, he needs every inch of that space!
